Carrots are a biennial plant that produces an edible taproot. It contains light feathery leaves and umbels of white flowers which create a cosy nest for the protection of the seeds. Carrot Seed Essential oil comes from spiny seeds or also known as the ‘dry fruit’ of the plant Daucus carota. These seeds are then crushed and steam distilled to form the dark orange oil. Carrot Seed Essential Oil has a strong earthy aroma.
