Anise is a flowering plant native to the Mediterranean region. It has small white yellow forming loose umbels throughout its shoot. Some may confuse this species with Star Anise but our Pimpinella anisum is a bit stronger than that. Richer in anethole is what gives our Aniseed Essential Oil has a spicy-sweet aroma of liquorice. The difference between Star Anise and Aniseed is a must to be distinguished. Aniseed Essential Oil is steam distilled in Spain from the seeds of the plant Anise.
